It’s almost Sephora VIB Sale time!!! I’d love it if you used this link or click on the banner below to shop the Sephora VIB sale and help support Blushing in Hollywood:
Ok time for a refresher- Sephora’s loyalty program has 3 different levels or tiers. There’s a few things that are true for all 3 tiers:
ANYONE can participate in the sale and use the discount code. All you have to do is sign up for free to be a Beauty Insider (see below).
You can use the discount online or in store including Sephora in JCPenney locations.
You can use the discount as many times as you want during the days it is available. NO LIMIT! You can do both in store and online purchases if you so please 🙂
It is valid on EVERY brand in the store (!!) The discount is on your entire purchase.
The discount is not applicable to gift cards, Sephora Play! Boxes, or Sephora Flash Shipping ($10/year for free 2-day shipping on every order). Anyone can purchase Flash Shipping for a year and if you are VIB Rouge it’s free/included.
The base level is Beauty Insider. Anyone can be a Sephora Beauty Insider it’s free to sign up and there’s no minimum purchase. Once you sign up online or in store you’re eligible to get a free birthday gift during your birthday month (this year you can get a Tarte blush and lip gloss or 2 Caudalie skin care deluxe samples), you can get free beauty classes, and you are able to use the discounts during the Sephora VIB sales. Sephora has it’s biggest sale of the year in November where you will receive 15% off typically if you are a Beauty Insider (and 20% off for VIB and VIB Rouge). The “smaller” sale is in the Spring typically in April and you get 10% off if you are a Beauty Insider from Thursday 4/20/17 through Sunday 4/23/17 both online and in store. The code is BISPRING and if you do not receive the mailer, you can just tell the cashier you want to use the discount.
Sonja Morgan is the hilarious gorgeous star of Real Housewives of New York City. She always has a super-natural look about her that’s light, radiant, and youthful, and probably helps her get all of those younger guys when she’s out at Beautique. Sonja looks so incredibly beautiful no matter how frazzled the other ladies on the show try to make her. Lucky for us in December 2016 she Instagrammed her beauty routine so we can try to emulate her amazing looks. I still can’t believe Sonja is in her fifties she looks incredible! I did all the research to let you know what skin care and beauty regimen keeps her looking fabulous as she jet sets all over the world. I will have another post coming up all about her makeup, hair, and other beauty secrets as well!
Sephora’s annual holiday sale is coming soon! This is the biggest discount that Sephora offers all year (they have a similar sale in the spring but that one is 15% off) at 20% off for VIB (those who have spent $350+ in one calendar year) and VIB Rouge members (those who have spent $1000+ in 1 calendar year) on all purchases. VIB Rouges will get 20% off with code 20ROUGE both online and in stores Friday November 4th- Monday November 7th, 2016. VIBs will receive 20% off their orders with code 20VIB both online and in stores Friday November 11th-Monday November 14th, 2016.
As always, don’t forget to use Ebates for an extra 4% cash back it will help you justify these insane prices you’re about to see. The sale is not expected to be available for Beauty Insiders.
I wanted to make a quick post where I re-evaluate my previous reviews to give you some ideas for what to buy and what to skip at the Sephora VIB Sale 2016 which starts in 3 days on Thursday April 7th if you’re VIB Rouge or April 8th if you’re VIB and goes until the 13th.
As a refresher in order to be Sephora VIB you must spend $500 in a calendar year. The good news is that if you spend more than that then it rolls over towards the next year. To find out your status you can log on to Sephora.com and click “(Your name)’s Account” in the top right corner. If it says “VIB Beauty Insider” you’re in! You can use “VIBNOTE” online during the sale and get 15% off your entire purchase.
As I mentioned in my previous post, the Sephora VIB sale Spring 2016 is back starting April 7th for VIB Rouge and April 8th for straight VIB through the 13th, 2016. The spring discount is the typical 15% off. The discount works both in store and online (using code VIBNOTE). Also, you can basically get another 4% off taking you to 19% by using Ebates:So let’s get into the purchases that I have made since my Fall Sephora VIB Sale post:
The Spring 2016 Sephora VIB sale is coming up April 8-13th, 2016 (if you’re Sephora VIB Rouge the sale starts April 7th). I wanted to make a list of all of my prior VIB posts to help you make your shopping lists. Here they are from newest to oldest:
Remember the Spring sale is 15% off for Sephora VIBs (login at Sephora.com to figure out if you’re VIB). The fall sale is the bigger one at 20%, but who doesn’t like a discount on makeup and beauty supplies!? You can redeem the discount both online and in store and this years Sephora VIB Sale coupon code is “VIBNOTE” which you will enter at checkout.
Also, don’t forget that joining Ebates will get you cash back on top of your discount. The current Ebates deal is 4% cash back which would bring your “discount” to 19% which means you can buy more fun things 😉 To use Ebates just
I have talked before about how I contour and highlight using powders, but right now what’s really hot is cream contour palettes. I recently got the 06CF Cream Foundation/Highlight Palette from Morphe Brushes ($18.99) and I can’t believe that no one has been talking about this palette!! I can’t find many reviews or YouTube videos talking about it AT ALL! This palette contains 6 huge cream pans 5 are foundation/highlight for very light people like myself and 1 is a contouring shade. The contouring shade is still somewhat warm and very intimidating in the palette, but it looks nice blended out. What I did was I took the contouring shade and mixed it with a lighter shade on the back of my hand before applying it. I also used the foundation/creams as concealer as well to really put this palette to the test and while it could definitely cover up darkness and discoloration, it was too creamy to wear under the eyes and would crease up super quickly. I started with a bare face, mapped out where I was going to put my highlight and contour, then blended out the highlight first then the contour using my damp BeautyBlender. After that I applied Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I set the contour with Bahama Mama by The Balm which is a powder bronzer/contour color and set the highlighted areas with my Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo. I have talked about the Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Banana before as it is super popular because of Kim Kardashian, but Cameo is a great shade for us fair girls so we don’t look like we have jaundice.
