My Beauty Trends: Liquid Lipsticks post is one of the most popular posts on my blog so with all of that interest I thought it was time to do a Part Two!
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipsticks
The last post was sparked by the massive launch of the Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks ($20 each). I swear that woman is a marketing genius sending out free liquid lipsticks to all of the beauty influencers on the internet. Cheapest.PR.EVER. I still have only heard so-so reviews about these! My friend Annabelle (from the infamous Jeremy Piven post) has Pure Hollywood which is a nude shade and she said it’s super drying and crusts around the inner rim of your lips so she is not a fan. Anastasia has, however, come out with some gorgeous new colors my favorite being Unicorn which is described as a “luminescent lavender” and it’s gorgeous:
Here is my friend the amazing makeup artist Vjosa Pacuku wearing Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Unicorn. I like this picture of her wearing it because you can see more of the purple:
The next is Craft which is a plum shade (God I loved that movie!):
Both Unicorn and Craft were launched on 5/15/15. Since the last post Anastasia Beverly Hills has also come out with Full-Coverage lip glosses, but those aren’t liquid lipsticks so we’re not going to get into that. And here’s one more pretty little ABH picture of their Summer 2015 Liquid Lipsticks:
Lime Crime Liquid Lipsticks and Controversy!
On the last post I talked about the super popular and well-liked Lime Crime Velvetines, but since that post Lime Crime has become the Voldemort of the Beauty Influencer community! Every YouTuber I watched has said that they no longer support this company due to their poor response to a wide-spread credit card fraud problem. What happened was between October 2014-February 2015 Malware intercepted customer data including their credit card information. THOUSANDS of customer’s credit card information had been stolen and Lime Crime was deleting comments on their website and Facebook about the fraud as soon as they were posted which is never a good tactic. The owner of Lime Crime, Doe Deere, has also been caught mocking her customers and saying she doesn’t need their money anyway… So yeah #boycottlimecrime
Kat Von D Liquid Lipstick in Lolita
Since the last post we figured out why Lolita was looking different on everyone, there’s actually 3 different formulas:
Kat Von D liquid lipsticks are $19 each and are available at Sephora.
Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks
Jeffree Star launched a few more colors of their Velour Liquid Lipsticks (including a bright coral called Anna Nicole!)
and I love (714) which is named after the Orange County, CA area code!:
They’re also launching some awesome blues this month on June 20th:
And here’s Jeffree Star wearing Jawbreaker (could you just die or what?):
Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks
Dose of Colors launched a new liquid lipstick collection called Terra Collection including the color Stone which the internet has been loving:
This gorgeous collection sold out quickly unfortunately, but according to their Instagram @doseofcolors they will be restocked “later this year” with exact dates coming soon!
Be sure to check out the original liquid lipstick post from January! What’s your favorite liquid lipstick? There’s so many I see a Liquid Lipstick Part 3 in our future!
