Hi everyone! I hope you enjoyed my Holiday Gifts Ideas for Her 2016 post with tons of ideas from Nordstrom! One of my hobbies is cooking and I have a lot of kitchen gadgets and tools that I have ordered from Amazon and love. So even though these aren’t beauty/dating/travel related I thought it might be helpful to see some items that could be good for a range of people on your shopping list. Also lots of these are Amazon Prime which means they have free 2-day shipping so these are great for last minute gifts too!

Gifts For the Kitchen – Foodie Gift Guide
Kitchen Gadgets and Tools
DRAGONN Best Premium Zester Grater, Sharp Stainless Steel Blade, Black Handle, Safety Cover, Rubber Footings – This might be my most used new kitchen gadget I’m not really sure how I lived without this before. It’s perfect for lemon zest, parmesan or hard cheeses, and chocolate shavings which are all things we should be needing on a regular basis. I was actually talked into this by Chrissy Tiegen in her cookbook (see below).
Oster Cordless Electric Wine Bottle Opener with Foil Cutter, FFP – This wine opener is everything! It looks super chic and you will never look like an idiot trying to open a bottle of wine again. It takes a little getting used to because it feels like you are going to break it, but just follow the directions and you will love it, promise! Throw in these Rabbit Wine and Beverage Bottle Stoppers and a bottle of your favorite wine for a nice gift basket idea.
Cookbooks
Momofuku Milk Bar by Christina Tosi – Speaking of cookbooks, my roommate got me this one as a Christmas gift a few years ago and I’ve read it cover to cover more than once. These recipes will blow your mind. I can’t cook them super often because they all contain like a lb. of butter and all take at least an hour, but when I do OMG I’m never disappointed.
Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat by Chrissy Teigen- This is a gorgeous cookbook with great pictures and a nice variety of recipes, but I don’t want to lie to you, none of the recipes have really blown my mind so far. I still think this is a great gift idea for anyone that likes Chrissy Teigen or likes to cook and has a good sense of humor.
OXO Good Grips Adjustable HandHeld Mandoline Slicer – Really awesome kitchen gadget that helps you cut slices that are perfect every time. This is awesome for a shredded brussels sprouts salad or potatoes au gratin.
OXO Pepper Grinder, Clear – In my home we freaking love pepper and were buying lots of those little disposable grinders at the grocery store until I finally got around to ordering this bad boy. I love that you can adjust the size of the grind. This is a great gift for a new grad or student or someone who just got a new place or who is learning to cook. Or for someone you live with so you can use it too. So practical. I also bought these Spicy World Peppercorn (Whole)-Black Tellichery 16oz. bag to go with it.
Nordic Ware Natural Aluminum Commercial Baker’s Quarter Sheet – The price is definitely right for this pan and I use this constantly and it still looks brand new. I’m pretty sure I got this on recommendation from the Momofuku Milk Bar cookbook.
Gift Ideas For the Home
HCSTAR Sheepskin Rug Soft Carpet Felt Natural Fur Non-slip Good Grip 2 ft 3 ft, White – When I bought this it was $19.99 which was an amazing deal because trust me I shopped around. If you are looking for a gift with a friend who has an amazing Instagram-esque asthetic or just want to spruce your own place up for the holidays I highly recommend this. I have it at the foot of my bed (my bedroom is carpeted too) and I love the little bit of luxury under my toes. I also will drape it over my little seat for my vanity or take product photos for IG with it.
MIU COLOR Drawer Organizer, Closet Organizer Bra Underwear Drawer Divider 4 Set Beige – Who doesn’t want to be more organized? This set has been super handy for me especially because I have no dresser in my bedroom (to make room for my incredible vanity).
Sunbeam Fleece Heated Throw (pictured in Walnut, I bought it in the much prettier “Crimson” color) – I got this gift for my little brother for Christmas this year because he is moving to Vail, CO after living in FL his whole life. This just seemed so cozy for lounging on your couch or even as an extra layer at night. I got this gift idea from Alexa Garza one of my fave YouTubers.
ESTEAM Personal Hand Held Steamer, 120 Volt – This steamer is great for when I’m pretending to be a grown up who wears clothes that aren’t completely wrinkled. IDK about you all, but my wardrobe would be destroyed by an iron and I don’t have a dryer in my apartment unit to get wrinkles out quickly so this is my go to. Hot tip: using distilled water (you can buy it at the grocery store) is a major key when steaming or hot rolling your hair.
Adidas Performance Men Adilette Supercloud Sandal – I’ve made an entire post about my Adidas obsession and these slides have become my favorite house shoes ever I’m literally wearing them right now with my PJs. I really hate walking around the house barefoot so these super cushioned sandals are perfect. Hot tip: I wear a 9.5-10 in women’s and you need to size down for these so I got them in a size 8D(M) US and they’re perfect.
ALASKA BEAR – Natural Silk Pillowcase, Hypoallergenic, 19 momme, 600 thread count 100 percent Mulberry Silk, Queen Size with hidden zipper(Ivory white) – Silk pillowcases help prevent wrinkles and keep your hair smoother so I’ve been using this pillowcase for months now and have been very happy with it. It says hand wash only, but I’ve put it in the washer and dryer and haven’t had any problems.
Your Beauty Mark: The Ultimate Guide to Eccentric Glamour Kindle Edition by Dita Von Teese – It’s not letting me link the Hardcover version which is the one I actually recommend because it makes a fantastic coffee table book for any beauty lover or Dita lover in your life. I gave this to my friend Annabelle for Xmas last year, but of course read through the entire thing first and I really enjoyed it.
Hamilton Beach 40865 Glass Electric Kettle, 1.7-Liter – I’ve bought electric kettles for 2 different tea loving roommates and if you want to get someone a gift they will use- this is it!
Mr. Coffee Mug Warmer for Office/Home Use, MWBLK – I got this for my roommate (PS check out her amazing singing on her Instagram) last year because she wanted a mug from Starbucks, but it couldn’t go in the microwave and she is always re-heating her teas. I also recently saw a video of a girl using one of these to heat up body oil before applying which sounded like an amazingly luxurious idea. This is great for the tea/coffee lovers in your life.
Bose QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones for Apple devices, White – I mentioned on my last post that I gifted myself these noise cancelling headphones last year after lusting after them for YEARS and I’m so happy I did. Every time I fly I bring these and feel like a boss.
Leader Lens Cleaning Towelette Dispenser (Pack of 100) – Ok these may seem silly, but I saw another blogger named Marianna Hewitt talking about how she always carries them for her reflective sunglasses and to wiping off her phone and between those and cleaning my reading glasses I’m not really sure how I lived without these before.
iPhone 7 Plus Case, Caseology [Skyfall Series] Transparent Clear Enhanced Grip [Rose Gold] [Slim Cushion] for Apple iPhone 7 Plus (2016) – If you know someone who is getting an iPhone 7 Plus this case would be a great gift. I bought it to protect my new phone and I love that you can see the rose gold color of the phone through it. You could make this one a themed gift with iPhone 7 Plus Screen Protectors, and an iDeology Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter for iPhone 7 (I use this in my car to connect my stereo to my phone with my auxiliary cable).
Audible
If you’re still feeling totally lost or want to give a gift that’s not a “thing” I highly recommend an Audible subscription. I’ve had one for 3+ years and am up to date on my credits (meaning I listen to at least one book every month). This is awesome for commuting. I want to do another post soon with my favorite books of 2016.
Amazon Prime
If you don’t have Amazon Prime yet and have a bunch of last minute shopping to do I highly recommend getting a free trial this month. I’ve had it for about a year now and even though it enables my shopping habit, I really love it. The free 2-day shipping is incredible because I hate paying for shipping. It’s also great if you need to send people gifts who don’t live near you (free shipping to their house too!).
Or if you’re still stumped on gifts, give the gift of Amazon Prime to someone you love and enable their shopping addictions.
