Makeup Remover Cloths Review

A while ago I made a post about how to avoid How to Gently Remove Makeup and Stop Ruining Your Towels and I recently tried the S & T Always Off Makeup Remover Cloths ($3.79 for 3 on Amazon) and they are amazing! These are plush microfiber (88% polyester 12% nylon) face cloths that will gently remove dirt, oil and makeup and they eliminate the need for disposable makeup wipes.

How to Use Makeup Remover Cloths

I dampen the towel with warm water and add my facial cleanser on one of the towel’s corners. I’ve been using the CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser (~$10 for 12oz) for about a year now it gets everything off without overly drying my skin and I can use it around my eyes with zero stinging.

I gently rub the corner with the cleanser on it around my face in small circles, especially concentrating on my eyes to get all of my mascara and eye makeup off. I then rinse out the towel and use it again (without adding more cleanser) to remove any remaining eye makeup. After that I rinse my face one more time to make sure everything is off before drying my face on a separate, clean dry bath towel.

I rinse off the microfiber makeup towel again and hang it up to dry and will use it 3-4 times before throwing it in the laundry hamper. These can go through the washer and dryer no problem and haven’t stained like my basic white face cloths have. My favorite use for these things is TRAVEL! They are a great way to make sure you get all of your makeup off so none of it winds up on a friend or family member’s bath towels! Such a life saver that way.

MakeUp Eraser

I haven’t tried the name brand “MakeUp Eraser“, but it’s about 4x the cost and you only get one. I can’t imagine it working 4x better than these much more affordable cloths.
