I had my friends Spencer Scott and Tasha Reign over the other night and we had a blast talking about all things beauty. In today’s video the girls and I are talking about hair. I’ve known Spencer Scott for about 4 years and she has the most gorgeous platinum blonde hair. I had to know how she does it! How does she not go bald from all that bleach!? Well, it turns out after one bad trip to a salon she did lose so much hair that she had to get a toupee, but you’ll have to watch the video to hear more about that story. Spencer also shares this amazing powder that looks like an eyeshadow that can cover up your roots in between trips to the salon and we all share our favorite dry shampoos.
Some details on what we talked about:
Olaplex is a 3 product system that is getting a lot of buzz you may have already seen it on Instagram. There’s the Olaplex Bond Multiplier No.1 which you can add to lightener or color, then you use the Olaplex Bond Perfector No.2 which is the treatment Spencer mentions, and then the salon gives you Olaplex Hair Perfector No.3 Take Home to use once a week to strengthen the hair and it also works as a pre-treatment for future chemical service. It’s for professional use only so the system is only available at salons.
Spencer goes to Alexis at C The Salon in Studio City every 2-4 weeks and she says it costs her about $130.
Now on to the shopping. As always don’t forget to use Ebates to get cash back when you shop online! On 2/10/16 I got a Big Fat Check for $183.77 thanks to Ebates.
The hair powder that Spencer uses to cover her roots is called Color Wow Root Cover Up in Platinum. She said it lasts her about 6 months and it’s also great to cover up extension tracks. Color Wow Root Cover Up is $34.50 and available at Ulta and Amazon:
Tasha Reign aka Rachel’s favorite is Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo is $23 for 3.5oz. and is available at Sephora. They also have a special version for Brunettes.
Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo is $11 for the small 1.4oz can Spencer has or $24.50 for 5oz. I use the powder (non-aerosol) version and I think it’s perfect for travel. They have it on Groupon for $9.99 for 1oz. which will last you a while.
I love Batiste Dry Shampoo in Wild which is $7.99 on Amazon for 6.7oz. I go through so much dry shampoo I’m glad I’ve found a drugstore one I love.
I hope you had as much fun watching the video and don’t forget to subscribe to the Blushing in Hollywood YouTube channel and be on the look out for more videos! Don’t forget to vote in the poll on the video- would you rather see us girls talk about dating or beauty next? I have another one coming up with Spencer Scott and Tasha Reign where they are talking all about their plastic surgery and fillers!
