Why You Should Try to Implement Oils in Your Hair Care Routine

Today’s post is a guest post by Naomi Hassan. It’s super timely since I was just talking about how Denise Richards’ hairstylist adds tea tree oil and lavender oil to his DIY sea salt spray. I hope you enjoy!

We spend our lives chasing the perfect way to keep our hair in top condition, and using oils like tea tree oil for hair care seems counter-intuitive. I know you’re probably thinking we should be trying to reduce oils so we can avoid greasy hair, right? Actually, there are a number of reasons why using oils in your hair care is a great idea. Below I’ll share why, and how best to put them to use.

Kyle Richards has a Hair Salon in her house Plus Her Current Hair Care Products

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards is living the dream – she has a shampoo bowl in her home. This means Kyle doesn’t have to spend 3 hours going out to the salon and getting a blowout. Instead, Kyle Richards’ hair stylist and makeup artist Pamela Brogardi (Instagram @glambypamelab) comes to Kyle and does her hair! I am so jealous of this set up because as a woman we all know washing your hair is the absolute worst. It is such a luxury when someone else does it for you!!

Kyle showed off her home salon on BravoTV.com using her daughter Portia as a hair model.

10 Things You Should Do After Bleaching Your Hair

Joana Teixeira was sweet enough to write another guest post for us today! For better or for worse, I actually highlight my hair at home (are you gasping? lol). I was inspired by hair legend Jessie James Decker and talked about it in my Jessie James Decker Ombre Blonde Highlights at Home. Highlights = bleach though, which = damage so I asked Joana to help us with the after care to mitigate that damage and here’s what she said (with my comments in italics):

Hair Care Tips For Busy Mornings

Hey everyone- We have another guest post by Joana Teixeira today- hair care tips for busy mornings! I totally need this because as I’ve stated before in my Instagram story, I literally spend like 45 minutes on makeup, 3 minutes on hair and 30 seconds on my outfit in the morning. TG Joana is coming through with the tips!! I love the leave-in conditioner tip, I’m so curious to try it!!

As much as we’d all love to sit around each morning drinking fresh coffee, eating avocado toast and endlessly styling our hair, most of the time that just isn’t possible. Mornings tend to be a rush of putting on our clothes and finding something for breakfast before heading out the door as soon as we can. While it may be difficult to ensure your hair looks alright in these circumstances, there are ways to guarantee yourself a good hair day despite the rush. Here’s a rundown of useful hair care tips to make sure your locks look their best even if you don’t have much time.

How to Get Blonde Porn Star Hair

I had my friends Spencer Scott and Tasha Reign over the other night and we had a blast talking about all things beauty. In today’s video the girls and I are talking about hair. I’ve known Spencer Scott for about 4 years and she has the most gorgeous platinum blonde hair. I had to know how she does it! How does she not go bald from all that bleach!? Well, it turns out after one bad trip to a salon she did lose so much hair that she had to get a toupee, but you’ll have to watch the video to hear more about that story. Spencer also shares this amazing powder that looks like an eyeshadow that can cover up your roots in between trips to the salon and we all share our favorite dry shampoos.

Get Rid of Product Build Up

I’ve got a great little quickie, DIY, at home, easy, cheap, readily available tip for you that I have tried and it works. I like to use a ton of dry shampoo for volume and because I try to not wash my hair too often. The problem is that once I finally do wash my hair I have so much product in it and it’s so dirty that it’s hard to get clean. In the past I have tried shampooing my hair twice, using a clarifying shampoo, and making my own clarifying shampoo by adding baking soda to shampoo, but none of those worked. I could just wash my hair more often, but ladies you know ain’t no one got time for that! So here’s my secret: Continue reading
