Making this list made me realize I love a book that gets real, but has a sense of humor about it. One that tackles serious subjects with authenticity and personality. Imperfect and brilliant at the same time. Here’s 3 books I read this year that I’d highly recommend for yourself or to gift.Continue reading “My Top 3 Books of 2019 That You Need to Read”
Stassi Schroeder of Vanderpump Rules recently released her book Next Level Basic and has been touring the country to promote it. This week she did a book signing at Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles and her makeup looked gorgeous. Her makeup artist Jared Lipscomb (Instagram @jaredlips) was nice enough to do a breakdown of one of the looks. Jared is actually the same makeup artist that did Stassi’s book cover makeup!
Barbara Kavovit the new “friend of” the Real Housewives of New York City has a new book coming out, and itmade me curious about the books the other Real Housewives of New York City have written.Continue reading “List of Every Book Written by The Real Housewives of New York City, Their Amazon Reviews and My Own Reviews”
It feels like just yesterday we were shitting the bed in Cartagena, but the ladies of Real Housewives of New York City are back!
In this post I’ll be introducing you to the new housewife, saying bye bye to Carole Radziwill, giving AGELESS by Ramona updates, talking about Tinsley Mortimer dancing in a strip club in WEST Palm Beach, discussing the nuances of Palm Beach vs. West Palm Beach, and rounding up all of the Real Housewives of New York City Beauty Secrets Blog Posts!
From the previews it looks like RHONY season 11 will be the usual drinking, flirting with young men, screaming at each other on girls trips, rehashing old problems, fighting at restaurants, JOVANI, and traveling to South Florida. All the things we love!

Stassi Schroeder of Vanderpump Rules makeup, hair and OOTD are usually pretty on point. I’ve done beauty breakdowns of tons of the other glam ladies of Bravo (Real Housewives, Southern Charm, etc.) and I thought it was time to do Stassi. Be sure to check out Stassi’s boss Lisa Vanderpump’s Beauty Secrets where this whole series began!

I’ve loved the reality TV show Southern Charm on Bravo from the very first season and Whitney Sudler-Smith’s mother Patricia Altschul was such breakout star right from the very first episode! If you don’t have Bravo you can watch the latest seasons of the TV show Southern Charm on Amazon Prime.

Since I’ve already done Lisa Vanderpump (twice for LVP actually), Erika Jayne aka Erika Girardi, and Lisa Rinna I figured the next Real Housewife of Beverly Hills whose beauty secrets we all want to know is obviously Kyle Richards aka Kyle Richards Umansky. I have scoured the internet for any and all interviews with Kyle about her favorite beauty products, makeup, hair care, skin care, etc. and have put them all together for your enjoyment here!
What’s your beauty mantra in five words or less?Kyle Richards (source)
“When in doubt, do without!”

I’m a HUGE audiobook fan I’m pretty sure I’d go insane driving in LA traffic if I didn’t have audiobooks and podcasts to listen to. I’ve been an Audible member since 7/8/2011! I pay about $15 a month and get 1 credit for a free audiobook monthly. The Audible app is great and super easy to use as well and keeps your bookmark in the place you left off even if you switch between devices. My favorite part about the Audible app is being able to adjust the speed of the speaker which I usually put at 1.25x. You can sign-up for Audible and get a 30 day free trial with 2 free audiobooks:
As you’re about to see, I read almost exclusively non-fiction and love biographies, science, and self-help type books. Here’s some recent books I’ve been enjoying from Audible: Continue reading “Audible Book Recommendations 2016”
Welcome to the first ever Blushing in Hollywood Book Club post! Today I finished Shonda Rhimes’ Year of Yes: How to Dance It Out, Stand In the Sun, and Be Your Own Person and I really enjoyed it a lot. If you didn’t already know, Shonda Rhimes is the incredibly talented creator of Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal and executive producer of How to Get Away with Murder. She is a serious boss lady that pretty much runs things on TV right now. She’s so much more than that though because she’s really changed the face of television to make it look more like how the world actually looks (instead of adding diversity she likes to refer to it as normalizing) and for her efforts she’s won a GLAAD award, several NAACP Image awards, and a Peabody Award. She’s a pretty impressive person.
Bonjour! Just practicing my French because I’m headed to Paris for the first time ever in a week and a half!! While preparing for my trip I had to take a look at this book I have to see if it had any European travel tips. The book is Classy by Derek Blasberg and in it I learned a few VERY good tips that I still use this day:Continue reading “Traveling in Style – What to Wear to the Airport and What to Pack”
