Ever wondered how Patricia Altschul from Southern Charm got that perfect swoop in her hair? Well luckily her hairdresser and co-star Madison LeCroy shared a video tutorial all about how to achieve the voluminous hair swoop look. I’ve included lots of hints and tips including how to cheat the look if you’re not a blowdrying pro!
Madison Lecroy was kind enough to film a video tutorial of how she creates Patricia Altschul’s signature swoop hair style. Luzanne of the amazing and must follow @welovepataltschul Instagram account re-posted the video with some extra details:
Denise Richards’ hairstylist Carlos Ortiz was sweet enough to share some of the products and techniques he uses to get Denise’s sexy hair styles. I was honestly so surprised and delighted by these tips. I LOVE a beauty tip which means I’ve heard a LOT of them so it’s hard to surprise me with something new- but he did!! Be sure to follow Carlos on Instagram to see more of his amazing work @carlitos_hair.
Stassi Schroeder of Vanderpump Rules recently released her book Next Level Basic and has been touring the country to promote it. This week she did a book signing at Barnes and Noble at The Grove in Los Angeles and her makeup looked gorgeous. Her makeup artist Jared Lipscomb (Instagram @jaredlips) was nice enough to do a breakdown of one of the looks. Jared is actually the same makeup artist that did Stassi’s book cover makeup!
I was going through and updating a post all about my Girl Get Glamorous Clip-in hair extensions when I remembered I had never posted this hairstyle! I’ve now had my clip-in extensions for 3 years and I still am OBSESSED with them!
Joana Teixeira was sweet enough to write another guest post for us today! For better or for worse, I actually highlight my hair at home (are you gasping? lol). I was inspired by hair legend Jessie James Decker and talked about it in my Jessie James Decker Ombre Blonde Highlights at Home. Highlights = bleach though, which = damage so I asked Joana to help us with the after care to mitigate that damage and here’s what she said (with my comments in italics):
and she was nice enough to write up the following tutorial! Enjoy!!
Heading into the autumn months it can feel like all the possibilities of summer are slowly seeping away. Those long, sunlit evenings, days by the beach and summer holidays abroad… When we think about the dark, gloomy weather that is about to come our way it can all feel a little bit depressing.
But it really doesn’t need to! There are lots of ways to maintain the spirit of summer even in those dark, wintery months. Why not pay homage to the god of all things beachy and sunny by re-creating summer hairstyles this fall? Get yourself some sun kissed locks and a casual sea-salt look. To keep the essence of summer alive why not try out a beautiful beach waves style? This classic occurs naturally after you’ve been in the sea, but it’s also recreate-able from the comfort of your own living room even in the depths of Fall.
If you’ve ever seen the reality show Ladies of London on Bravo, you may have noticed that Sophie Stanbury has the most insanely gorgeous hair! I have been so bored with my hair lately! When I straighten it it’s flat and lifeless, curling it looks the same every time, and don’t even get me started about how terrible it looks when I try to embrace my natural once-curly-now-not-curly-enough-to-wear-curly texture. That’s why I was so glad to find this super easy hair tutorial that just gives your hair a “bend” or a very soft waves which is similar to how the Kardashians have been wearing their hair. It’s simple, fast, and will make your hair way less boring immediately. I’ve also gotten a lot of compliments every time I’ve worn my hair with soft waves like this so I definitely recommend it!
