Kyle Richards from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Season 9 episode 20 Un Petit Hangover aired 6/25/19) wore some under eye patches. These patches are amazing at hydrating and de-puffing your under eye area. They are great to put on after a long day and night at a vineyard in Provence or in the morning before a special event. Luckily for us, she shared the exact ones she used on her Instagram!

Kyle shared the under eye patches on her Instagram story. She was using Peter Thomas Roth Hydra-Gel Eye Patches ($75 for 30 pairs/60 total patches = $2.50 per pair).
If they are sold out try one of these links:
Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold Pure Luxury Lift and Firm Hydra Gel Eye Patches Ingredients
These under-eye patches include pure 24k Gold and Colloidal Gold to “help lift and firm the appearance of the delicate eye area in just 10 minutes.”
Hyaluronic Acid and Hydrolyzed Collagen
These hydrate the skin to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Caffeine helps tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of puffiness
These patches also have a natural cooling effect which reduce swelling and inflammation. You can store them in the fridge for a more intense cooling experience.
These patches are scented with lavender to soothe and calm the skin.
Peter Thomas Roth’s Good to Glow Value Set ($65/$140 value) includes 15 pairs of 24k gold hydra gel eye patches along with a 1.7oz Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer and 0.5oz Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Serum. This set is perfect for the summer because it adds hydration to the skin without the heavy sticky feeling a cream or oil can give.
More Hydra Gel Eye Patch Recommendations
A more affordable alternative is the TARTE Pack Your Bags Undereye Patches ($22 for 4 pairs/8 patches total = $5.50 per pair) which I’ve used and love. I talked about them in my How to Conceal Dark Under Eye Circles blog post.
Kyle’s RHOBH co-star Erika Jayne likes the more affordable Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches ($52 for 30 pairs/60 patches total = $1.73 per pair).
Lisa Rinna recommends using hemorrhoid cream under the eyes to help with puffiness. She found that these Tucks MD Medicated Cooling Pads (~$7 for 50 pairs/100 patches total = $0.14 per pair) are quick and easy and less messy than hemorrhoid cream. They’re also super affordable. The hemorrhoid cream shrinks the blood vessels, works as an astringent, and gives some contraction for a tightening effect.
Lisa Rinna also loves the skyn ICELAND Face Lift in a Bag ($20) which has under eye patches, plus patches for the forehead, smile lines, and neck for an all over hydrating, smoothing, and plumping effect.
How to Use Under-Eye Patches
What Time of Day to Use Under Eye Patches
While you can use them at night before bed, under-eye patches are best for daytime use. This is because after sleeping your face can become puffy and swollen, especially under the eyes.
If you want something soothing around your eyes before bed I’m obsessed with Gentle Steam Eye Masks which are single use and heat up as soon as you open the package. They’re amazing for eye strain from looking at screens all day long. They’re so relaxing I often fall asleep while still wearing them!
When in Your Skincare Routine to Use Under Eye Patches
Before using under eye patches you want to cleanse and moisturize your skin. If you use hyaluronic acid I would apply before putting on these gel patches (you can apply more after if you’d like). I wouldn’t apply Vitamin C Serum or SPF until after you are finished wearing the under eye patches. These are to be used before applying makeup.
How Long to Use Under Eye Patches
The instructions say these only take 10 minutes, but you can wear them for longer if you like. They’re nice to pop on before coffee or breakfast or while doing your hair.
How Many Times to Use Under Eye Patches
In general, most under eye patches are single use.
