Hollywood Top 5 Recommendations

I recently updated my EXTREMELY comprehensive list of recommendations in my LA Guide for Hollywood, but I figured it might be a bit overwhelming for some people. If someone asked me what are the Top 5 BEST things to do in Hollywood, this is what I’d tell them. Plus people seem to really like my Toronto Top 5 Recommendations post so why not Hollywood?!

How to Visit Beverly Hills Like the Real Housewives

If you’re a Bravo and Real Housewives super fan then you know that Andy Cohen had the most lit baby shower of all time at The Palm in Beverly Hills recently. Real Housewives from EVERY city were in attendance! But where else did they eat, drink, and play at in Beverly Hills? Lucky for you I recorded all of their Instagram stories and took screen shots so I could share! This way when you visit Beverly Hills you can live it up like a Real Housewife!

LA Guide – Hollywood

3/2/19 I am updating this post, but it’s incredible how most of the originals are still my all-time favorites and go-to’s when I have guests in town or give recommendations!

I’ve added mostly photos, but a few great newer places to check out – Rubies + Diamonds, Tocaya Organica, The Highlight Room, TAO, Blackwood Coffee Bar, Lono, Division 3, Afters Ice Cream, and Pace Joint. There’s also a few OG’s I can’t believe I didn’t include the first time – Mashti Malone’s Ice Cream which has been a Hollywood Staple for about 40 years! And Tiago which was my go-to breakfast place when I lived in Hollywood. I’ve also included a few gyms to burn off the calories after you eat and drink at these incredible places.

Recently I had my 5 year anniversary of moving to Hollywood so what better time to write up a guide or list of recommendations for anyone who wants to explore my neighborhood? Sorry for the lack of photos, most of these places are dark and sexy so even if I posted photos from there you wouldn’t be able to see anything!

A Song About Modern Dating by Erin & MeLissa

I went to a comedy show at NerdMelt (great place to see a show BTW) last night and saw these girls performed and they are SO funny!! They’re Erin & Melissa and they are a musical comedy duo that performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I love this song “Based on What I See” which talks about a girl knowing a guy is ~the one~ based on his social media. I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been there before. I even tried to pick up a dude on Instagram recently. Anyway check out this video of them singing this hilarious song:

You can see them Tuesday, November 25th @ 9:30pm at UCB Franklin in The UCB Thanksgiving Parade and they’re performing Monday December 1st @ 8:30pm at the brand new UCB Sunset in Erin & MeLissa: One Night Only. Both shows are $5 and excellent date ideas.
