Clothes I Bought on Amazon and Love aka Colette Prime Made Me Do It

I have been LOVING Amazon Fashion the past 2ish years. I figured I’d do a round up of some of my favorite summer dresses and cute tops that I bought from Amazon. Shopping for clothes on Amazon is my new normal, but I forget that lots of people still have never tried it! I’m here to say that no it’s not perfect, but don’t be afraid! I’ve found so many cute pieces at amazing prices! And they’ve held up too!

Andy Cohen’s Baby Shower

Andy Cohen had Real Housewives from every city at his Beverly Hills Baby Shower this weekend. On Saturday, January 26, 2019 a baby shower was thrown for Bravo’s king Andy Cohen at The Palm restaurant. Andy Cohen is expecting his first child via surrogate. I have written many blog posts about the Real Housewives so if their names are bolded and linked- click the link to read all about the Real Housewives Beauty Secrets.

A Song About Modern Dating by Erin & MeLissa

I went to a comedy show at NerdMelt (great place to see a show BTW) last night and saw these girls performed and they are SO funny!! They’re Erin & Melissa and they are a musical comedy duo that performs regularly at the Upright Citizens Brigade. I love this song “Based on What I See” which talks about a girl knowing a guy is ~the one~ based on his social media. I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been there before. I even tried to pick up a dude on Instagram recently. Anyway check out this video of them singing this hilarious song:

You can see them Tuesday, November 25th @ 9:30pm at UCB Franklin in The UCB Thanksgiving Parade and they’re performing Monday December 1st @ 8:30pm at the brand new UCB Sunset in Erin & MeLissa: One Night Only. Both shows are $5 and excellent date ideas.

Fabuluxe Jewels Haul

So in case you haven’t noticed, I have started posting on a schedule with new posts every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday so today’s is a little bonus post! I was on the hunt for some awesome statement necklaces at a really great price and I looked at so many sites before finding Fabuluxe Jewels. The reason I wanted some big gaudy jewelry is because a) I’m tacky and b) it really frames your face, hair, and makeup in photos. Plus I just like sparkly things! Here’s some examples: Continue reading “Fabuluxe Jewels Haul”

My BeautyConLA Experience & Insecurities

Last Saturday I went to BeautyConLA and holy crap it was overwhelming. Since 99.9% of the population doesn’t understand what a beauty convention is or why one would exist, let me explain. According to the website “BEAUTYCON IS A FASHION AND BEAUTY COMMUNITY + CONFERENCE FOR THE INTERNET’S MOST INFLUENTIAL BEAUTY AND FASHION ICONS AND THEIR EVER-GROWING NUMBER OF FANS. BEAUTYCON HAS ALREADY TAKEN OVER LA, LONDON + NEW YORK AND NOW, WE’RE HEADING BACK HOME, TO BEAUTIFUL LOS ANGELES! #BEAUTYCONLA” It consisted of a bunch of booths for makeup, hair, and skincare (mostly) products, and had panels of internet/youtube/instagram famous beauty gurus and the like as well as some quickie classes/makeup demonstrations. I had actually planned on seeing some of the panels, but it was so insanely busy and confusing in the convention I never actually made it into one.

July 2014 Favorites and Beauty Wish List

Welcome (back)! I want to talk about my favorite products and things for July and since I have a lot to say about them let’s just get into it!

1. The Original Beauty Blender & Solid BlenderCleanser ($28 for both) – I had been using a Sonia Kashuk bo-bo (definition: cheap version) beauty blender for a while thinking it was just as good.. Then Obama came to town and the traffic was so bad I couldn’t go on without a quick snack and a pop into Planet Beauty. I bought the original Beauty Blender (BB) with the solid cleanser because last time I owned a BB I rubbed it on a bar of Dove soap thinking it would be the same as the cleanser and ruined it, whoops! The beauty blender is just so much softer and bouncier and better at applying the product if you can, I recommend splurging for the real thing. Get it here Continue reading “July 2014 Favorites and Beauty Wish List”
