Looking back on my Best Makeup of 2015, not a whole lot has changed! But I think it’s good news that these products I invest in are still working so well for me! Check out the best makeup 2016!
Best Makeup 2016 – Face
Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer – So expensive, but so lovely. This is a silky, light weight primer that will help your makeup go on more smoothly and has SPF 15. It feels so nice I like to wear it even without makeup.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Primer – This primer is incredible, you push it into your pores and it really minimizes the appearance and smooths your skin. This looks great even without foundation as well.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – This foundation is incredible. Lightweight, natural slightly glowy finish, but also buildable to hide imperfections without ever getting cakey. I find myself reaching for this more and more! It’s a great date night foundation.
Rimmel BB Cream Matte – Excellent price, beautiful coverage that’s light, but will correct discoloration and dark under-eyes. This is a fantastic everyday base. Word of warning- it’s more of a satin or demi-matte finish so you will need powder to make it totally matte.
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair – This concealer is just as good as my high-end concealers and the price is amazing. This is very similar to the NARS creamy radiant concealer.
Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder – Put a little of this on a big fluffy powder brush, swirl it around your face, and watch your pores disappear!
Ben Nye Luxury Powder in Cameo – The perfect powder for setting concealer under the eyes. Keeps your concealer in place without creasing and brightens and highlights under the eyes, love!
Beauty blender – I know it’s annoyingly expensive, but I can’t live without them! I always use it damp and use the fat bottom part to bounce in my foundation and the pointed top part to press in my concealer under my eyes. I then dip it in loose powder to set my under eye concealer.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer & Contour Brush – Great shade to bronze/warm up the face or to contour. I also use it with my Sigma E40 in the socket/crease part of my eye as an eyeshadow almost daily.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit in Light to Medium – When I first got this palette I didn’t get what the hype was about and thought it had no pigment, but I’ve found myself reaching for it a lot this past year! I’ve turnt on this one and really like it now.
Milani Luminoso – This blush is so gorgeous! Perfect peachy shade with a bit of shimmer that makes it a blush and highlighter all in one.
Best Makeup 2016 – Lips
Covergirl Katy Kat Matte Lipstick in Sphynx & Pink Paws – These are awesome everyday colors that go with almost any look and I love both of these colors layered together!
C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm – This was another staple for me this year this stuff is one of the best I’ve ever tried.
Aquaphor Lip Protectant + Sunscreen – I followed Erika Jayne’s advice and picked this up at the end of 2016 and I’ve been addicted ever since! It’s perfect and so cheap!
MAC Lipstick in Angel – This is my go-to, wear with anything, can put it on without a mirror, never worry about it getting all over my face, easy-peasy neutral pink lipstick. This is a MAC lipstick must have for sure.
Best Makeup 2016 – Eyes
Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil in Taupe – My go-to for a few years now, easy to use, nice, natural color, lasts longer than a Brow Wiz, and the Dip Brow was making it too easy for me to go overboard.
Sigma E40 Brush – This fluffy brush is awesome for putting eyeshadow in my socket/crease area, all over the lid for a wash of color, or can be used to blend shadows together.
Loreal Double Extend Beauty Tubes Mascara – This is one of those mascaras that has a white end with a primer for your lashes and then the black end that’s the actual mascara, but my favorite part about this one is how easy it is to remove!! It’s one of those tube mascaras so you just get some warm water on your lashes and the tubes come off in chunks at night which sounds gross, but is very satisfying and leaves you without any of that annoying undereye darkness that regular mascaras can leave sometimes.
Gosh Forever Eye Shadow in 03 Light Copper – I found this gem when I was hunting for unique drugstore makeup on my trip to Toronto. I wish they sold this brand in the USA!
Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in Moonlight – Another great cream eyeshadow stick product that’s super versatile which I used a lot of this past year. I love putting this on my bottom lash line to add definition without making my eyes look smaller.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner – The tip on this is so fine and precise it allows you to create the most fierce eyeliner ever. I’ve had friends run to Sephora to buy this after trying mine.
