Today marks the release of another Anastasia Beverly Hills product that I think is going to be super hot- her liquid lipsticks. Liquid lipsticks have gained in popularity over the past few months and the formulas are just getting better and better. Liquid lipsticks are great because they can be easily painted onto the lips sans liner like a gloss and then dry to a nice matte finish and are usually super long lasting. They can also be layered with lipsticks or glosses to help the lips stay more moisturized. I have 2 of the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks and have been loving them:
Here’s the 20 brand new Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks:
These liquid lipsticks are available on anastasiabeverlyhills.com and are $20 a piece. I’m feeling Party Pink and Bambi (and Retro Coral, Milkshake, Vintage….). I love the super dark colors too, but I already have a super dark vampy Sephora cream lip stain (I need to take a pic with this on! I haven’t yet because I feel like a less cool Lorde in this dark purple color). Here’s another picture of the color selection:
I loooove how @missjazminad combined these 2 for an ombre look (picture from @anastasiabeverlyhills IG):
Lime Crime Velvetines ($20 each) are another crazy popular liquid lipstick and everyone has been wearing the super unique greige color Cashmere on IG lately:
Salem, a matte chocolate brown, is also super popular:
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks ($20 each) are very popular with the YouTube gurus with the gorgeous dusty rose color ‘Lolita’ popping up on lips everywhere including on Casey Holmes:
Remember Jeffree Star from Myspace? He just came out with his own line of Velour Liquid Lipsticks ($18 each):
Dose of Colors also makes some popular liquid Matte Lipsticks ($18 each) I got my sister “Berry Me” and she loves it. They’re available in store in LA at Naimies.
So those were all pretty pricey…. what do we have at the drugstore you ask?
Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Lip Color in Cherry on Top has some good reviews on makeupalley.com and for $2.99 I think it’s worth the gamble.
What’s that? You want something 1/3rd of that price with even better reviews? How about the e.l.f. Essential Luscious Liquid Lipstick for $1?
One from the drugstore that I bought and do not like, however, is the Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color ($6.49 each). This one got all over my teeth it was terrible.
Have you tried any liquid lipsticks? Tell me what you think about them or if you’re going to buy these new ones in the comments below!
