Fabuluxe Jewels Haul

So in case you haven’t noticed, I have started posting on a schedule with new posts every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday so today’s is a little bonus post! I was on the hunt for some awesome statement necklaces at a really great price and I looked at so many sites before finding Fabuluxe Jewels. The reason I wanted some big gaudy jewelry is because a) I’m tacky and b) it really frames your face, hair, and makeup in photos. Plus I just like sparkly things! Here’s some examples:

Here are some of my fave beauty girls (and their Instagram accounts where I found these pictures) rocking statement necklaces.

See!? Aren’t you just like “so shiny and pretty….must have now”? All of the necklaces I was finding were $35+ and I just didn’t want to spend that much so when I found this website I felt like I hit the jackpot. Then when they gave me a 25% off coupon for myself and my readers it was like a double rainbow! In case you’ve already filled up your shopping cart before even finishing this post, the coupon code is “love25”. Here’s a picture of my jewels:

From left to right these are the Gold Crystal Necklace ($14 and it just came with the earrings they weren’t pictured or in the description!), the Princess Kystal Necklace ($14), Blue Aviators ($10 and this picture doesn’t capture it, but they’re super reflective like the Ray Bans), Lion Hoops and the last necklace and earrings are not on the website and I actually didn’t order them at all, but I LOVE them. I’m not sure if they made a mistake or wanted to give me a few bonus gifts because there was no receipt in the bag, but I’m definitely not complaining! My total was $38 shipped! I would have gotten maybe ONE necklace somewhere else for that much.

So the one downside to costume jewelry is that it can sometimes tarnish quickly. I’m not extremely worried about that since these pieces are so bold I’m not going to be able to wear them too many times anyway. I did some googling to figure out how to best prevent them from tarnishing and the results basically said store them in an airtight plastic bag and/or paint them with clear nail polish. The plastic bag part makes total sense since that’s how people who sell this kind of jewelry typically store it. The clear nail polish thing sounds like it could have some flaws… plus these pieces are huge it would take me like 3 bottles! Here’s a picture of how I stored them:

I wrapped all of the pieces up and squeezed all the air out of the bags to protect them from tarnishing.

I put all of the pieces into sandwich and snack bags and made sure to get all the air out. I then stored them in this cute little Nicole Miller jewelry box that I picked up on a trip to HomeGoods this week for about $10:

I like this one because it’s just an open box it doesn’t have any separators so I don’t have to squish big necklaces like these. Do you have any other tips for preventing jewelry from tarnishing? Or cool ideas for storage? I’d love to hear them.

Also don’t forget to check out Fabuluxe Jewels and use the coupon code “love25” for 25% off! Here’s some more pieces I’m loving:
