Holiday Gift Ideas for Her 2016

nordstrom-gift-ideas-for-her-2016

I recently attended a Nordstrom Morning Beauty Event and they had TONS of awesome gift ideas I had to share! If you didn’t know, Nordstrom regularly holds great (free!) beauty events in store where you usually get some really great samples and freebies! They had tons of raffles at mine and I even won a Nest home diffuser! You can see if your store is having any Nordstrom events here. The Nordstrom at the Grove is even having Mr. Francois Nars in store on December 10th from 2-4pm for a book signing.

Also don’t forget to use Ebates because Nordstrom currently has 6% cash back.

My top pick for a gift is either of these:Danielle Creations Rose Gold Mirror Tray ($30) – This is such a gorgeous beautiful item that would doll up anyone’s bathroom or vanity area. This is such a great gift for a friend/coworker/sister/aunt/grandma and the price is great.

iconDanielle Creations Rose Gold Midi Mirror ($32) – Such a chic little addition to anyone’s pampering station and again, great price point. This is 6″ D x 10″ H. Or get the mini version Danielle Creations Rose Gold Mini Mirror ($15) that’s 3 1/2″ D x 5 1/2″ H. This is a great gift for that hard to shop for person or for a White Elephant type gift exchange. These both come in a silver/chrome color as well. Or if you want to spend more, upgrade to the $150 Danielle Creations LED Bluetooth Music & Phone Mirror (umm most genius combo ever?).

diptyque A Night at diptyque Act 3 Le Roi Sapin/The Festive Fir Tree Mini Candle (LE) ($35)- This is a tiny little mini candle, but would make a great host or hostess gift especially if you get invited to a really great party and want to be invited back next year.

I loved the Nordstrom Beauty Stylist they had present (and not just because I won her raffle!) I thought she had awesome gift ideas. A Beauty Stylist is a personal shopper for the cosmetics department and luxury gifts. This holiday season she recommended hydrating and detoxing with these products:iconicon

Patchology ‘SmartMud’ No Mess Mud Masque ($30) – Uh who doesn’t like the idea of a no mess mud mask?? I’ve posted before about the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub Review and The Face Mask You Must Try so you know I love me a good clay mud mask. This is a package that includes 4 masks. It tightens your pores and helps your skin look smoother and healthier. It also promises not to strip your skin of moisture which is great!

If you’re looking for some more affordable masks for someone’s stocking check out the Leaders Cosmetics 7 Wonders 3-Pack Sheet Masks (Was $15 Now $8.98).
icon

Bobbi Brown ‘Skin Nourish’ Mask ($47) – This is a super-creamy mask that helps quench your skin with sustained moisturization to make it looker smoother and plumper. You apply liberally on the skin and allow to absorb for 2-5 minutes, tissue off the excess and massage the rest into the skin. Great for those living in cold environments who need that extra moisture.
icon
Patchology ‘FlashPatch’ Lip Gels ($50) – These cool looking things help soften, smooth, and diminish the appearance of vertical lip lines in 5 minutes. It comes with 24 hydrogel patches that provide deep duration for more youthful looking lips. They’re also sold in 5 packs for $15 which would make an awesome stocking stuffer- I’m actually hoping Santa is reading my blog right now ;).

iconHourglass No. 28 Lip Treatment Oil ($44) – Touted as the ultimate elixir (for that price it better be) the HOURGLASS founder recommends applying this treatment twice a day. It’s got advanced anti-aging treatment for the lips with essential oils and vitamins delivered through a fancy 24-karat gold-plated tip.

Kate Somerville ‘Dry Skin Saver’ Moisturizer for Face, Lips & Body ($48) – Don’t worry this is a big(ger) tube at 4oz filled with a cream that can be used all over to sooth dry skin and moisturize up to 24 hours!

This seems similar to Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Skin Protectant ($22) which is a cult classic that tbh I was underwhelmed by.
icon
Aveda damage remedy Restructuring Conditioner ($29) – This is a daily conditioner that helps moisturize damaged hair keeping it healthy and shiny. Another great Aveda gift idea is their amazing hand relief Moisturizing Creme Beautifying Aroma ($9.50) which would be a great gift for a teacher or healthcare worker who constantly has to wash their hands.

MAC Strobe Cream ($33) – This is a cream for your face (and chest/shoulders/décolletage if you’re feeling fancy) that boosts the look of dull, tired, or flat looking skin by brightening smoothing, hydrating, and leaving iridescent particles that add a soft glow to your skin. This is a subtle all over highlight that’s great for a holiday glow.

It also comes in a MAC ‘Sized to Go – Mini’ 1oz. size for $12 which again, is a great stocking stuffer or great if you want to try this cream out yourself.
icon
MAC ‘Prep + Prime’ Fix+ Finishing Mist ($23)- One product she recommended that I have actually tried (and repurchased) is MAC Fix+. This spray is great before makeup to hydrate, after makeup to set and help powders melt into your skin for a more natural look, or throughout the day to add some rehydration to your skin and refresh your makeup. It’s also great around the holidays because you can spray a flat eyeshadow brush with a little before using the brush to apply glitter to help it stay.
icon
Jo Malone ‘Geranium & Walnut’ Body Scrub ($55) – Jo Malone is the epitome of luxury so this is a really nice gift for the diva name brand lover in your life.
icon
diptyque Smoothing Body Polish ($70) – Again, another super luxurious brand and to be fair this one is 6.8oz.

NEST Fragrances ‘Moroccan Amber’ Reed Diffuser ($42) – This is what I won in the raffle! I loved that the beauty stylist said she gifted this to her grandmother recently who said she wanted to rub it all over her body because she loved the scent so much. To clarify, this is a home fragrance.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Mini Lipstick Trio (LE) ($39) – These are 3 mini super high end lipsticks in some great universal shades. The colors are Very Victoria inspired by Victoria Beckham, Amazing Grace which was inspired by Grace Kelly, and Red Carpet Red. Just one warning- these are indeed MINI the box they come in was surprisingly tiny so you might want to give this to someone who understands that Charlotte Tilbury makeup isn’t cheap so they appreciate your tiny little fancy gift.
icon
iconMAC Nutcracker Sweet Nude Mini Lipstick Kit (Was $35 Now $26.25)- I spotted this kit immediately after the holiday collection from MAC came out, but I had to resist getting it because I already own the 2 on the left (Creme Cup aka one of my faves of all time and Kinda Sexy). The other two are Nouvelle Vogue and Whirl which Kylie Jenner loves. This is a great kit for the price and the packaging adds an extra touch of holiday glam.

Dior Total Matte Glow Nude Palette for Eyes & Brows ($62)- This comes with 3 gorgeous neutral bronzes shimmers, a matte brow color (with an angled brush to apply it), and a brow wax to keep them in place. The packaging is super luxe (duh it’s Dior!) and would make any girl smile.
icon
iconClarins Booster Detox ($39)- Another gift they recommended this holiday season is this Clarins Booster which is a serum that you add to your moisturizer, masks, serum, or foundations. The Detox one in particular has green coffee extract which detoxifies skin and this formula is good for when you’ve been drinking or feel puffy from too much salt (or airline travel).

Narciso Rodriguez Narciso Poudree Eau de Perfume ($97)- This is the newest Narciso Rodriguez perfume that’s super feminine and floral and strong so it will definitely leave a lasting impression.
icon
iconTom Ford Lips & Boys Lip Color ($36)- Every Black Friday Tom Ford releases 50 clutch sized lipsticks named after boys- friends, people who have inspired him, even Drake (pictured above) as a thank you for his “Tuscan Leather” song which is about the TF fragrance. These are limited edition and get released every year on Black Friday so get them while you can.

Yves Saint Laurent ‘Mon Paris’ Eau de Parfum Travel Spray ($29)- This is my favorite new perfume and the packaging is adorable. It’s really nice and fruity and feminine with a little musk.
icon
Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara & Eyeshadow Palette ($29.50)- I like this gift set because it’s almost like the eyeshadow palette is free since Dior mascara alone is close to $30. This is a nice luxurious gift because that’s what presents should be.
icon
Kennebunk Home ‘Bliss’ Plush Throw ($39)- I am a firm believer that you can never have too many soft and cozy blankets which is why I think this is a great gift idea. It also comes in lots of different colors which is nice.icon

Bose QuietComfort 25 Acoustic Noise Cancelling iOS Headphones ($299)- I gifted myself a pair of these last year after lusting after them for years and I’m SO happy I did. Every time I have them on at the airport iconthese make my trip MUCH better. I even just turn on the noise cancelling when I’m not listening to anything to help make things quiet so I can relax or sleep.
