Tinsley Mortimer is the newest blonde on the Real Housewives of New York City. Tinsley has a classic, clean, chic, preppy style and is definitely not into change. One reason the Tinsley Mortimer always looks on point- she used to be a beauty editor at Vogue (source)!
How Old is Tinsley Mortimer?
The socialite and NYC staple must have some kind of Benjamin Button disease because despite being born 8/11/75 (she’s 43!) she somehow still looks like she’s in her 20s.
“My Southern mother taught me to never be ashamed to wear a full face of makeup at all times. She started putting lip gloss on me in fourth grade. So it’s just sort of built in.”

Tinsley Mortimer is a beauty lover. She has been a beauty ambassador for the iconic French beauty line Christian Dior (source). Back in 2008 Dior actually launched a Limited Edition Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Tinsley Pink.
Tinsley Mortimer’s Makeup
Foundation
Tinsley’s makeup artist Jasen Kaplan uses Chanel Vitalumiere Moisture-Rich Radiance Sunscreen Fluid Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for foundation on Tinsley.
Tinsley’s favorite to make a flawless look that lasts all night with the Dior Capture Totale Foundation (source).
Highlighter/Luminizer
Tinsley keeps her under eyes bright with the Dior ‘Flash Luminizer’ Radiance Booster Pen ($40) (source). The pen is a concealer/highlighter that gives buildable coverage to boost radiance and catch light in order to erase dark areas. It also helps fill lines and wrinkles. Lisa Vanderpump likes the Yves Saint Laurent version- the YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch ($38).
To get the Tinsley look after applying foundation I would apply the Dior ‘Flash Luminizer’ Radiance Booster Pen in 002 Ivory down the bridge of the nose, under the eyes in a triangle like Kim Kardashian, a bit on the forehead, the chin, and the upper lip. I would then blend with a BeautyBlender and set with a light or translucent powder.
Concealer
For her make-under, the artist used Erika Jayne favorite Cle De Peau Beaute Concealer ($70). (Source)
Lashes & Mascara
Tinsley Mortimer’s Real Housewives of New York tagline is “A good set of lashes can fit anything…even a mugshot!” and she has mentioned several time needing to relocate out of Sonja Morgan’s townhouse into somewhere close by to her lash girl which means that Tinsley wears eyelash extensions.

For false lashes Tinsley’s makeup artist Jasen Kaplan has used another favorite of mine- House of Lashes in Iconic Lite ($12).

To pump her eyelashes up even more Tinsley uses her favorite mascara Diorshow Black Out Mascara ($29.50). Tinsley says “Diorshow Black Out Mascara is my favorite. I want my eyelashes to look intense. I’m not trying to make them look natural!” (source)
Tinsley Mortimer’s Hair
Tinsley Mortimer’s Hairstylist
For her signature blonde hair color Tinsley Mortimer sees her hair stylist Kyle White at Oscar Blandi. He colors her hair about every 6 weeks in Midtown Manhattan. Kyle White colors Tinsley’s friend and RHONY co-star Sonja Morgan’s hair too!(source)
Tinsley Mortimer’s Blonde Hair
She’s been highlighting her hair since 6th grade! Kyle White describes it as “multi tonal – a lot baby blond with a golden blond base; she has icy and buttery pieces.”
Dry Shampoo
For hair Tinsley is obsessed with the Klorane Dry Shampoo ($20) which allows her to extend her professional blowouts for 3 days. Dry shampoo soaks up oils at the roots, adds volume, and texture and refreshes hair and I can’t live without it either!
The Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk – Loose Powder Formula ($20) is great too because it’s eco-friendly in a non-aerosol spray powder form (most dry shampoo comes in aerosol cans).
Hairbrush
Tinsley loves the cult classic Mason Pearson hair brush (source). It was developed more than 100 years ago. The brush distributes the natural oils of the hair from the roots to the ends and exfoliate the scalp while stimulating the circulation of the hair follicles.
Hairspray
Another cult favorite of Tinsley’s is L’Oreal’s Elnett Satin Hairspray ($11) (source).
This hairspray has amazing hold, and then you can brush it out and it magically disappears. It also has good humidity protection which is great for both New York City and Palm Beach.
How to Get Tinsley Curls
To get Tinsley’s signature curls first blow your hair out smooth using a round brush to give yourself some volume at the roots. Once dry, part the hair down the middle and curl 1-2″ sections with a large barrel curling iron away from the face.
You can also use a large curling rod and wrap the hair away from the face. Spray with L’Oreal Elnett to hold the style.
Tinsley Mortimer’s Skin Care
Cleanser
Before bed Tinsley always washes her face with Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford Skin Softening Cleanser ($30) (source).
Serum
After cleansing she uses the Dior Capture Totale Le Serum ($240) to hydrate and plump the skin. (Source)
Eye Cream
Tinsley carries Guerlain ‘Abeille Royale – Gold Eyetech’ Eye Sculpt Serum’ in her purse! It has a 22-karat gold-dipped applicator for a refreshing application- chic! It helps the eyes look immediately decongested, smoother, more radiant, less puffy, and makes eyelids appear lifted and eyes seem wider. Who doesn’t want all of that!? (Source)
Moisturizer
For night cream Tinsley likes La Roche-Posay Toleriane Riche Daily Soothing Nourishing Face Cream for Sensitive Skin ($29) (source). The Shea Butter in this moisturizer makes it super creamy.
Tinsley Mortimer’s Tan
Tinsley loves her a good tan. Lucky for us she uses the super affordable L’Oreal Paris Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion ($11) (Cameran Eubanks from Southern Charm and Kyle Richards are also fans). She puts this on her legs and says that after a few coats it looks like you have a spray tan.
Tinsley Mortimer’s Perfume
The perfume that makes Tinsley feel the sexiest is Dior Diorissimo ($100).
“EXCLUSIVELY AT SAKS. First introduced in 1956 and inspired by Monsieur Dior’s favorite flower, the lily of the valley, Diorissimo is the definition of a true, timeless classic. Discover the fragrance now available as an elegant eau de parfum. This delicate, romantic fragrance features top notes of bergamot and calyx, middle notes of lily of the valley, jasmine, ylang ylang and lilac and a base of sandalwood.” (source)
Tinsley Mortimer’s Nails
I’ve noticed from photos that Tinsley really loves a short classic red nail. Her signature is OPI Big Red Apple ($10).
Tinsley Mortimer’s Book
Did you know Tinsley Mortimer wrote a novel called Southern Charm? I’m shocked she hasn’t tried to talk about the book on the show more!
Here’s a description of the book from Amazon:
“Southern girl Minty Davenport always dreamed of skyscrapers, yellow cabs, and a life like Eloise’s in New York City. So upon graduation from college, she bids adieu to Charleston and makes a beeline for the Big Apple. Almost instantly, she finds herself at an event being photographed for Women’s Wear Daily, and her career as a New York society “It Girl” is launched.
As Minty navigates the ironclad customs of New York society, a blossoming love life, and a job working for a ruthless and powerful publicist, she finds that the rules a Southern belle lives by-being nice to everyone, accentuating her femininity, and minding her manners-don’t necessarily guarantee success in Manhattan. She may indeed be accumulating new friends and opportunities along with bold-faced mentions and a very eligible bachelor boyfriend, but someone is plotting her very public downfall. When Minty gets to the top of the social ladder, she must decide if the glamorous life she thought she wanted is really everything she hoped it would be. Tinsley Mortimer’s insider observations about New York’s elite are deliciously witty, and the heart of her book is that of an irresistibly loveable young woman who is on the brink of finding her dream.”
