We all love Erika Jayne’s over-the-top glam, but I think what’s even more appealing about her is her honesty. I read every interview I could find about Erika Jayne’s beauty routine and she is not sugar coating it for us. She is not afraid to let you know she did not wake up like this.
What do you think makes someone beautiful? Confidence is the base to all beauty.

On 2/12/19 Erika Jayne released a makeup line in collaboration with Too Faced Cosmetics. Read more about Erika Jayne x Too Faced Cosmetics Pretty Mess Makeup Collection here.
Erika’s look takes a gay army, her skin looks that good because of her dermatologist, she’s super diligent about SPF, she eats right, works out, gets plenty of sleep, drinks lots of water, takes vitamins, always washes her makeup off, doesn’t tug at the skin around her eyes, and she stays away from booze and cigs. Basically, she does all the things we already know we’re supposed to do, and she does them consistently and that’s why she’s still looking amazing.
So while I don’t have any super easy cheap hacks to make you look like Erika Jayne, I think her dedication to being hot is admirable and it’s a good reminder that it’s not easy. If you want to be Erika Jayne, start with her trifecta- Aquaphor for lips, under-eye cream, and sunscreen.
How Old is Erika Jayne?
I don’t want to put the lady’s age on blast, but I think it’s important to mention so you can realize just how incredible she looks. Her date of birth is 7/10/71 making her 50 years old.
Erika Jayne’s Skin Care
“I go to a dermatologist, so I’m under that kind of care because you really can’t get this skin without a professional—that’s the truth. Other people sit here and tell you, “Oh I use this, I use that,” but I go to a doctor. Besides doing that, I like going to get a facial, and taking makeup off at night—gently, not pulling on your eyes—is really important. It’s all about using gentle cleansers that won’t strip your face of its natural oils. It’s maintenance; it’s a lot of what you put in your body. You have to eat the right things, and you can’t wreck your face with a bunch of late nights, sun, and dehydration. It’s a combination and I’m fortunate enough to have the means to take care of it.”

Erika likes to both cleanse and moisturize with oil. One of her favorites to add moisture is Mario Badescu’s Rose Hips Nourishing Oil. She’ll add a few drops into her night cream to intensify the hydration.
My favorite cleansing oil is the cult favorite DHC Deep Cleansing Oil. This is awesome at breaking my makeup down after an especially heavy beat. You rub the oil all over your made-up face and then use water to turn it into a milky cleanser.
It’s not only what you use, it’s how you use it, Erika explains. She likes to take off her makeup with Lancôme’s Eye Makeup Remover . “I soak it first, place the cotton ball on my eyes, and kind of let it melt away before I start wiping,” she says. “You can’t tug at your eyes. The skin around there is really delicate so you have to be careful.” (Source).
If you could give your younger self advice about beauty, what would it be? “Under eye cream and lots of water is a must – you’ll thank me later!” (Source)
An eye cream I would love to try is the La Mer ‘The Eye Concentrate’. La Mer is one of the most luxurious skincare brands out there, perfectly fitting for Erika Jayne. Update: Erika Jayne recently said she has been using this eye cream! I was right!!
For a more affordable eye cream option try my current favorite – BELIF Moisturizing Eye Bomb. It’s like heaven for thirsty under eyes.
To further pamper her under eyes Erika Jayne recommends Peter Thomas Roth Hyaluronic Cloud Hydra-Gel Eye Patches. Tip: Keep them in the refrigerator for extra de-puffing. (Source)
For extra smoothing, plumping, and brightening Erika uses the fancy Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. (Source) This mask won Allure Magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ award for Best Splurge, 2017.
Erika Jayne’s Botox and Fillers
The beauty or spa treatment Erika Girardi can’t live without? Microdermabrasion. Check out my recent post about where I get my microdermabrasion. And of course, Erika loves Botox, fillers, and lasers to keep her skin looking amazing (Source).
Erika Jayne mentioned in many interviews how she loves Aquaphor Lip Repair. Aquaphor lip repair works as a base for any lip gloss or lipstick and keeps your lips moisturized. It’s great with no makeup at all and an in-flight beauty necessity as well. (Source)
Erika Girardi has been using SPF on both her face AND body extremely diligently since she was young.
My current favorite SPF for my face is the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen which goes on smooth and works as a makeup primer.

Erika Jayne’s Lip Gloss
Erika’s can’t live without it makeup product? A baby pink lip gloss. Three I saw her mention were Bassam Fattouh Cosmetics Lipgloss, Dior Addict Ultra lip gloss, and Chanel lip gloss. She says that Erika Girardi wears Aquaphor with a little Dior lipgloss, and Erika Jayne (her alter ego) wears big-ass overdrawn DSL’s.
Bassam Fattouh Cosmetics Lipgloss in Cotton Candy Erika is constantly in a nude or baby pink glossy lip, and this is one of her favorites. (Source) I had never heard of this brand, but according to the website Bassam Fattouh is a famous Lebanese celebrity makeup artist that created this line in 2010.
My best guess for Erika Jayne’s favorite Chanel lip gloss would be Chanel Lèvres Scintillantes Glossier in 04 Spark. This color is similar to the one that fellow RHOBH frenemy Lisa Vanderpump swears by. These have recently been replaced and the closest color-wise is Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss Moisturizing Glossimers in 744 Subtil.
Erika Jayne’s Mascara
Erika Jayne is a spokeswoman for the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara so I’m guessing that’s what she puts on top of her falsies.
Erika Jayne’s Concealer
For concealer Erika likes the very fancy Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer (Source)
Erika Jayne’s Foundation
For foundation Erika likes Dior Nude Air Serum de Teint Foundation. This is a sheer coverage serum foundation that I assume she wears on “no makeup-makeup” days. (Source)
Erika Jayne is also a spokeswoman for Beautyblender. She recommends using it damp and bouncing foundation into the skin with it to get the most full coverage and flawless look. If you have never tried a beauty blender before you are seriously missing out! It’s a must-have for my makeup routine! (Source)
Erika Jayne’s Blush
Erika likes NARS Blush in Desire. This matte bright pink is very intense so Erika recommends applying it with caution. (Source)
When do you feel most beautiful? When my team of gays makes me beautiful.

Erika Jayne’s Body
How do you deal with the pressure for body perfection in our culture? I eat right, get exercise, sleep, and take vitamins. The rest you don’t worry about.

Erika Jayne’s Tan
Erika says if she’s going to Palm Springs for the weekend she’s sure to bring some Scott Barnes Body Bling. (Source)
It looks like Scott Barnes is applying an instant tan to Erika’s legs in this Bravo video which is most likely Scott Barnes Body Bling which is “A moisturizing, shimmering bronzing lotion with a bronze base and golden highlights. Works great on arms and legs to even out skin tone and hide imperfections while making legs look longer and slimmer. Leaves skin with a naturally radiant ‘sun-kissed’ glow.”
Erika Jayne Fragrance
When describing herself vs. her alter-ego Erika Jayne she says “Erika Girardi likes Jasmal from Creed .”(Note: I think this scent is discontinued or ‘vaulted’ in fancy Creed terms.)
“Erika Jayne would probably wear something really sexy and musky, and kind of smoky and woody.” (Source)
My recent favorite fragrance find is Maison Martin Marginal ‘Replica – By The Fireplace’ Fragrance which I think fits this description.
Replica By The Fireplace is “The sweetness of a winter evening by the fireplace. Brightness, freshness and the purity of newly fallen snow through the frozen window. Day breaks. Outside it’s snowing on a frosty, cold landscape. Inside the flames of a comforting fire crackle in the fireplace. By the Fireplace is the Replica collection’s first feminine and masculine fragrance, evoking a morning by the fireplace in Chamonix in the 1970s.”
Erika Jayne’s Hair
One of Erika’s main hairstylists is Frank Galasso and she also wears his brand of hair extensions. (Source) My favorite hair extensions are my Girl Get Glamorous Clip-ons. Be sure to use my code HOLLYWOOD for $5 off!
Erika Girardi likes her hair straight without a lot of product with a really good natural blow-dry, and Erika Jayne likes her hair ropey with a lot of product to make it wild like a rockstar. (Source)
Erika says she bleaches her hair every 12-14 days (OMG!) so she uses a lot of Oribe Hair care and masks like the Oribe Signature Moisture Masque (Source)
She also says she ALWAYS uses a heat protectant. Her stylist Clyde Haygood’s favorite is the Oribe Soft Lacquer Heat Styling Spray
Watch Clyde work his Calamari Watson magic in this video:
Remember how freaking stunning Erika looked at the RHOBH reunion? How could you not it was legendary. In this video of Erika prepping for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion:
It appears that her hair stylist is curing her hair (and all of her hair extensions) with a Hot Tools 1 inch Curling Iron. It looks like he is using about a 1″ curling iron to create this look and is pinning it high to cool and set with volume.
Erika Jayne’s Selfies
One final tip to bring you one step closer to being Erika Jayne, she uses good lighting for her pictures on social media.
In the episode where the RHOBH girls went to New York, Erika had her makeup artist or assistant snapping photos of her on a camera that looks very similar to the one I use and love the Sony a 5100 digital camera. This camera has an incredible beauty filter that auto-corrects colors and blurs imperfections it is like MAGIC:
