Sephora Beauty Insider – 4/20/17-4/23/17; 10% Discount

The base level is Beauty Insider. Anyone can be a Sephora Beauty Insider it’s free to sign up and there’s no minimum purchase. Once you sign up online or in store you’re eligible to get a free birthday gift during your birthday month (this year you can get a Tarte blush and lip gloss or 2 Caudalie skin care deluxe samples), you can get free beauty classes, and you are able to use the discounts during the Sephora VIB sales. Sephora has it’s biggest sale of the year in November where you will receive 15% off typically if you are a Beauty Insider (and 20% off for VIB and VIB Rouge). Holiday Gift Ideas for Her 2016

I recently attended a Nordstrom Morning Beauty Event and they had TONS of awesome gift ideas I had to share! If you didn’t know, Nordstrom regularly holds great (free!) beauty events in store where you usually get some really great samples and freebies! They had tons of raffles at mine and I even won a Nest home diffuser! You can see if your store is having any Nordstrom events here. The Nordstrom at the Grove is even having Mr. Francois Nars in store on December 10th from 2-4pm for a book signing.

Microblading Eyebrows

At this point I think we all know that having good eyebrows is one of the best things you can do for your overall look. Having groomed, filled in eyebrows can help make you look more polished, younger, and can really frame and transform your face. Because of this need for great brows microblading has emerged as a semi-permanent solution to help you say “I woke up like this.” Tattooed eyebrows used to look like a faded sharpie, but we’ve come a long way since then with microblading looking much more natural.

I have been absolutely loving my brows now that I’m getting them threaded ($7) and tinted ($20) at Aruna’s Threading Salon in Hollywood, but I have to go back every 2-3 weeks and the tint lasts maybe 1-2 weeks so microblading may be in my future…

Summer Makeup Routine for Oily and Combination Skin

Hello everyone! Summer is here and that can be rough for us with combination and oily skin so I thought I’d share the products I’ve been using to try to prevent my face from melting off. This is a very full face of makeup, but “natural” enough to wear to work.

Primer for Oily Skin

Apply moisturizer, SPF, and primer. I’ve been trying different combinations of these 3 and haven’t yet found my perfect prep and prime products yet. I will say I was very disappointed with Becca’s Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector which is also super expensive so I definitely would not recommend that. The next one I will be purchasing and trying soon is the Giorgio Armani Maestro UV Skin Defense Primer SPF 50 ($64, but hey, cheaper than Botox!).
